To strengthen our team in the office in Metelen or Wiehl (Hybrid Working), we are looking for an experienced Legal Counsel to assist the General Counsel in a wide variety of general commercial and corporate matters.
Legal Counsel - Norican Group

What you will be doing:
- Be a key contact and legal advisor to the sales team, and support functions for our business in Germany (Wheelabrator and StrikoWestofen).
- Ensure Norican has legally robust contracts which are in line with Norican policies.
- Help to create a culture of trust and confidence with internal and external parties.
- Lead on reviewing, drafting, and negotiating contracts with customers and other third parties.
- Prepare legal assessments, risk evaluations and decision recommendations for internal approval.
- Liaise with external counsel on litigation, intellectual property, property, and corporate matters.
- Support the Norican Group General Counsel on wider group matters.
- Support and develop training and resources to help implement a “self-serve” model for the group.

Professional experience:
- German qualified lawyer.
- Previously worked in a law firm or in-house legal department.
- General commercial and/or corporate experience.
- Experience of dealing with commercial contracts.
- International experience is desirable.
