Simpson CEO to head up Norican Group in North America

Bruce W. Dienst joins Norican Group’s global leadership team after acquisition

Bruce W. Dienst, President & CEO of Simpson Technologies, has taken up the role of President of Norican North America, with responsibility for all Norican products in Canada, the United States and Mexico. The appointment follows the recent acquisition of the 110-year-old Simpson family business by Norican Group.

Bruce will continue in his Simpson role to grow Simpson globally but will now also lead Norican’s North American business across its four other technology brands, DISA, Wheelabrator, StrikoWestofen and ItalPresseGauss, as well as digital brand Monitizer.

A former president of the American Foundry Society, the Foundry Educational Foundation and the Casting Industry Suppliers Association, Bruce has a long history of leadership and is deeply connected to the North American foundry industry. He’s been leading Simpson Technologies as President & CEO for almost 40 years, overseeing a period of continuous growth, technology innovation and global expansion.

In his new role, he will continue to champion foundry excellence – from advancing digital technology adoption to accelerating efforts to improve sustainability.

Anders Wilhjelm, CEO of Norican Group, comments: “Bruce’s standing in the American foundry community is second to none and I’m absolutely delighted he has joined us. His knowledge of the industry, his drive to always aim higher and his ability to inspire others to do the same are invaluable.

He will lead our team in North America to new heights, helping all our customers, in foundries and manufacturing businesses of all sizes, to perform to their full potential and achieve more.”

Bruce adds: “I’m honored and excited to take on this new challenge. It will allow me to use my experience in the industry to further grow four additional technology brands to better service the metal casting industry and community I care for greatly. At Norican, we can give our customers a more complete foundry offering with best-in-class technologies that already work together beautifully and that will be deeply integrated in the future.

I will also work to expand and improve our aftermarket service and spare parts support to insure we really deliver what the foundry community across the region needs. I look forward to starting new conversations with old friends across the industry and the region.”

Simpson Technologies joined Norican Group at the beginning of October 2022, becoming its fifth technology brand.
