We are seeking an Automation Engineer to set up, operate, and program robotic peening machines, ensuring quality production and continuous improvement.

Travel to Metelen (Germany) and Charleville (France) will be required

Job Details: 

The Automation Engineer is responsible for:

  • Set up and operate a robotic peening machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
  • Program and develop components on the Robot machine when needed.
  • Adjust machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications and in a timely fashion.
  • Manage the production schedule of the cell.
  • Read and interpret Job cards/techniques and diagrams to select, position and peen products according to the relevant Specification.
  • Ability to follow and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment.
  • Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
  • Work under immediate supervision.
  • Operate/monitor multiple pieces of equipment during operation to ensure quality production and minimal unplanned stops
  • Communicate with team members and support teams to ensure continuous production of the correct product at high quality levels with minimal wasted time and materials
  • Housekeeping and General Safety awareness.
  • Manage and supervise the operation of robotic cells
  • Off-line programming using ABB Robotics
  • Program and develop new parts on the Robot machine
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that arise during production
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to improve robotic processes
  • Train and mentor junior staff on operating robotic systems

Additional info:

•  40 hours per week.

•  Work for an international manufacturing business - travel to Metelen (Germany) and Charleville (France) will be required. . 

•  25 days holiday + bank holidays.

•  Pension contribution.
